![]() Status of the women in the Tribal-community : As the 'Adivasi Community' leads a traditional life-style, the woman in the family wears 'blouse & two pieces of 9 yds saree of which one is worm while with the other is the head is curved. They have not the in ferior-place in the society & they are allowed to participate in all general functions of the community to attend & birth & deaths rituals, funeral activities, marriages,politics & they can even join services, men & women of this community have the equal-rights & the women have also got the right of heritage in the property. |

Contribution of women in day-today life: The woman in rich 'Adivasi Family' has a dominating & respective place in the family while the women of a common family has to do a lot of hard work. Generally, a girl of ten to twelve years old in the family has to look after her younger brothers & sisters, to take the cattles out for growing cleaning the horse, to collect cow-dang. & to clean the sty & also to fetch water from a wearly laks , river or a well for cooking. As they grow up, they have to go out to earn their living as daily wages by working or building construction, digging wells in the forest, road-repairly on farming etc. This community possess an isolated family system & women is the mistress of the family. Through the husband earns his living, she is not helpless or depend on him. Most of the women in the family join their duties within 20 to 25 days after their delivery & if it is harvest season, they join their work even within 15 to 20 days after delivery. Aadivasi women works even in their old age otherwise it is very difficult for them to earn their living. It is also seen that the women in the tribal community has to do more work as compared to men, but the men perform the most difficult, dangerous & dating activities. 'To work-hard' or 'to do labour' is the main activities of tribal & so they are most exploited. |
